Voq is a lightweight Chrome extension that turns any webpage into something you can listen to. It’s built for people who read a lot online and want to give their eyes a break. It also helps anyone who finds long blocks of text tiring.
Highlight any text and press play, or open Voq’s reading panel. Voq reads the content aloud in a natural-sounding AI voice instead of a robotic browser default. The panel highlights each word as it’s spoken, and you can click any word to jump straight to it. The panel is also split into sections, so you can skip to the part you need instead of listening from start to finish.
Voq works well on the sites people actually spend time on. That includes AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and forums like Reddit, Hacker News and Stack Overflow. It also handles long-form articles and documentation. It supports 34 languages with automatic language detection, which is useful for readers who move between languages throughout the day.
Privacy is built in. Voq requires no account, no email and no sign-up. It has no analytics, tracking or ads, and text sent for natural voice is discarded right after the audio is generated.
The natural voice is free every day up to a generous daily limit. An optional founding-member plan removes the limit entirely.
