I Audited Every Product Hunt Launch on May 31. The #1 Product Scored a D.

Over the weekend I ran every Product Hunt launch through my website audit tool. Eight launches. Three scorable. None scored above a C.

The #1 ranked product of the day: Clipto — 69.18 out of 100. D grade.

Here's what actually broke.

The Data

Company PH Rank Score Grade Key Issue
Clipto #1 69.18 D No lead-capture form
Zoomix #8 73.94 C Missing 7 page types
Zoomix (re-scan) #8 75.24 C Duplicate scan
Marqly 5.0 #5 Cloudflare blocked
Wellows Yesterday Cloudflare blocked
TabTasker #4 Cloudflare blocked
AnyFrame #13 Cloudflare blocked
Hum #10 Cloudflare blocked
Copycat Cafe #7 Cloudflare blocked

The Pattern

Every scorable site had technical scores in the 90s. Nobody's failing at load times or HTTPS.

The failure is in conversion.

Clipto: Design 85, Technical 97, Conversion 55.
Zoomix: Design 100, Technical 96, Conversion 51.

Both products have solid tech and good-to-perfect design. Neither has a lead-capture form on the landing page. Both have weak primary CTAs. Zoomix is missing 7 standard page types (no About, no Pricing, no Contact).

On launch day — when thousands of people visit — these are the differences between a lead and a bounce.

The Cloudflare Blind Spot

6 of 8 sites were behind Cloudflare and completely un-scorable by HTTP analysis. That's smart for security. It's also a diagnostic blind spot.

If your security setup blocks the tools that tell you whether your site converts, you're flying blind on launch day.

So I Built Something

I created a free website audit tool that checks design, conversion, technical, and competitive signals in ~90 seconds. No email required. Drop a URL and see exactly what's costing you conversions.
