Wabi Not Working? Login, Verification Code, and Connection Fixes That Actually Help

I'm the author of Wabi Wiki, an unofficial guide to the Wabi AI assistant — not affiliated with Wabi.

If Wabi suddenly stops working, do not assume you broke something. Most early problems fall into a few familiar patterns, and working through them in order saves a lot of reinstalling and guesswork.

Start with the wider picture. Wabi launched publicly on 19 October 2026, so launch-week demand can still make a new service feel slow or unreliable. If many people hit the same wall at the same time, the fault may be load, not your device. Wait a short while, try again once, and check whether the problem is really yours before changing settings.

First, make sure you have the real app

A surprising number of 'Wabi not working' reports start with the wrong download. Check that the developer is listed as Wabi, Inc. Other apps with a similar name — including unrelated phone-number and car-rental apps — will not sign you into Wabi, however often you retry. If the store listing, icon, or developer name does not match, remove that app and install the correct one from the official listing.

Login and verification-code problems

When a code never arrives, check your spam or junk folder first; a filtered message is still a delivered message. Give the first code time to arrive before asking for another one, because repeated requests can leave you with several codes and only the newest one working. Also confirm you are checking the same email address you used to sign up — a second inbox is a common silent cause. Finally, update the app and restart it, then try once with a fresh code.

Email and calendar connections

If Wabi cannot see your mail or calendar, reconnect that account inside Wabi rather than changing settings everywhere at once. Disconnect it, sign in again, and give it a moment to sync. Then check that the same account is actually syncing on your device — a paused mailbox or a calendar that is switched off locally will look like a Wabi failure. If you use a work account, remember that an administrator policy can block third-party access even when your personal account works fine.

Crashes, freezes, and slow replies

For a crash or freeze, force-quit Wabi and reopen it before trying anything drastic. Then check your internet connection: because Wabi runs in the cloud, a weak or dropping connection can feel exactly like a broken app. If the problem persists, update the app; as a last step, reinstall it. Your data lives in your account, so a clean reinstall should not erase your history. On a Mac, quit fully with Cmd+Q rather than just closing the window, or the old session may simply resume.

If nothing above helps

Do not keep reinstalling in circles. Check the official Wabi site, wabi.ai, and Wabi's official social accounts for outage news, and use official support for account-specific problems — nobody outside Wabi can fix a locked or broken account from a guide. For the step-by-step version of everything above, see the full troubleshooting checklist.
