I built a free Pictionary word generator and put the full word list on GitHub as a CSV, so anyone can reuse it.
What is in the file
The file pictionary-words.csv has three columns.
- word, the word or phrase to draw
- category, one of animals, food, objects, actions, places, movies, people or phrases
- difficulty, easy, medium or hard
In total there are 1,291 words.
Ideas for using it
- Filter by difficulty and print slips for a party
- Load it into a small app or a Discord bot
- Use it in a classroom game or a language lesson
Get it
The repository is here: https://github.com/wordgeneratorpictionary/pictionary-words
If you only want to play, there is also a browser version with a timer, team scores and a sketch pad at https://wordgeneratorpictionary.com/
Feel free to use the list for personal, classroom and non commercial projects. Feedback and ideas for new categories are welcome.
