For Mergetober, I built an Ahrefs connector for Cognee.
It syncs Domain Rating, backlinks, keywords, and site audit issues. Each run only gets new data, so agents can use past SEO data.
Ahrefs charges for API calls, so I added a budget check. Only Domain Rating is on by default.
Backlinks were a bit tricky. Missing links don't always mean lost links, so I only remove them when Ahrefs confirms they are lost.
Also fixed an issue where Cognee skipped repeat syncs.
Added 50 tests using a fake Ahrefs API.
