Disclosure: I built and run Outlanders Field Guide (monsterhunteroutlanders.online), an independent English practical guide for Monster Hunter Outlanders. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by CAPCOM, TiMi Studio Group, Proxima Beta Pte. Ltd. or Level Infinite. Game names, characters and artwork belong to their respective owners.
This is a field-guide chapter, not a fake rate sheet:
Monster Hunter Outlanders gacha: summons, rates & pity
Checked 30 October 2026. Post-launch; live rates unverified. No live recruitment screen, spend or guarantee test. Unknown = not verified for the released client.
Start with a hunt problem
Would a new Adventurer change how you hunt? Portrait preference, weapon comfort and squad role are different reasons to recruit — none equals probability. Preset Adventurers, the Fated Adventurer and crafted equipment stay separate. Weapon guides ≠ weapon banners.
Reported banner labels → client checks
Beginner / Standard / Featured labels come from pre-launch reporting (e.g. Pocket Gamer overview). Verify eligibility, limits, tickets, featured rate, off-banner outcomes and carryover in your regional client. Guarantees described from earlier tests are not adopted as live rules.
Buddy pools conflict across secondary sources (move-away reporting vs closed-beta Buddy recruitment notes). Check free acquisition routes and the live reward list before planning a Buddy pull.
Rate table status
Beginner / Standard / Featured base SSR rates: unknown. Featured individual rate: unknown (do not substitute total SSR). Soft/hard pity, featured guarantee, carryover, spark/selection: unverified. The date is a source-check date, not an account test. Calculators need assumptions this guide will not invent.
Separate: base rate per attempt vs combined rate including guarantees; rarity pool vs one named reward.
Pity vocabulary (recognize, don’t assume)
Soft pity, hard pity, featured vs rarity guarantee, and spark/selection are terms to match against live rules. Carryover is its own clause. A ten-pull animation is presentation until rules prove a discount or guarantee.
Contracts and “orbs”
Standard Contracts are named in official milestones. Featured Contracts and Ruta Coins appear in pre-launch reporting. Names ≠ exchange price. Orbs is not verified here as an official recruitment currency name — match the exact client label. Do not budget tickets that have not arrived.
Beginner pull plan
- Name the hunt problem; try available kits first.
- Read Adventurer dossier beside the matching weapon guide (links ≠ currently featured).
- Use the dated tier list only to pick a trial — no measured damage or pull-value math.
- Read eligible rewards, cost, end time and guarantees before converting currency.
- Set a limit you accept without the target; do not raise it after misses.
- Reassess after a useful result; duplicate needs are unverified.
Keep a recruitment record: banner name, region, client version, date, ticket type, exact rule wording, visible counters.
FAQ short answers
Rates / pity / carryover / featured guarantee thresholds: unverified as of 2026-10-30 — read your live banner. Reroll-from-tier-list: not justified by this guide alone.
