Public Key Format Errors: Users have reported "Invalid public key" errors when using the Lace wallet because the portal initially expected a 148-byte format, whereas the wallet provided a 64-byte format.
Signature Encoding Issues: A critical technical dispute exists regarding how Ledger signs messages. The Midnight team initially claimed Ledger’s method of signing a hash of the payload (rather than the raw payload) was a phishing risk, despite this being a standard practice in Cardano’s CIP-8 for years to accommodate hardware limitations.
