YNVAR is operated by Adrians Petrovs. The work began in the early 2010s with sites that consistently outgrew website builders and shared hosting — the shortfall was almost always one layer below the CMS. WordPress became the first serious operating ground; the database under load, PHP under traffic, the web server, DNS, backups, and caches all pulled the work into Linux operations. YNVAR is the position that resulted: a small engineering-led operator.
