How to Install SSIS + ZappySys in Visual Studio 2026 (Quick Guide)

Introduction

If you're working with SSIS in Visual Studio 2026, you'll need the SQL Server Integration Services Projects extension. This short guide explains how to install SSIS support and enable ZappySys SSIS PowerPack components.

Steps

1. Install SSIS Extension

  • Open Extensions > Manage Extensions
  • Search for SQL Server Integration Services Projects
  • Install it and restart Visual Studio

2. Verify SSIS Templates

Go to Create a new project and confirm the Integration Services Project template is listed.

3. Install ZappySys SSIS PowerPack

  • Download the installer
  • Install and restart Visual Studio
  • If components don’t show up, change TargetServerVersion to SQL Server 2022
