Today, I’m excited to launch UPCODEZ OTT, an independent streaming project built around a simple idea:
«Streaming should feel simple.»
I wanted to create an OTT experience where users can discover videos, search for something specific, explore the details, and start watching without being overwhelmed by unnecessary complexity.
What is UPCODEZ OTT?
UPCODEZ OTT is a modern streaming application focused on making video discovery and viewing straightforward.
The experience is built around a simple flow:
Discover → Explore → Search → Watch
The platform currently provides a clean home experience for browsing available videos, a video preview/detail experience, title-based search, and a focused viewing flow.
Why I Built It
I wanted to experiment with building a complete OTT-style product from the ground up.
Instead of trying to compete by simply adding more and more features, I wanted to explore what happens when the product is intentionally kept simple.
The goal was to make the important actions easy to understand:
- Find something interesting
- See what it is about
- Search for something specific
- Start watching
That philosophy influenced both the interface and the overall product experience.

The home experience is designed around discovering available video content without unnecessary clutter.
Explore Before You Watch
Users can open a video to see its preview, title, and description before starting playback.
Find It Faster
UPCODEZ OTT includes a simple title-based search experience so users can quickly find the content they're looking for.
Smooth Viewing
The product keeps the journey from discovering a video to watching it as straightforward as possible.
Android App
Alongside the web experience, UPCODEZ OTT is also available as an Android APK.
The Android version gives users a dedicated way to access the UPCODEZ OTT experience from their mobile device.
Built Independently
UPCODEZ OTT is an independent project that I built and developed myself.
I worked across the product experience, interface, development, deployment, landing page, and Android packaging.
For me, the project is also an opportunity to learn what it takes to take an idea from an initial concept to a publicly available product.
Privacy and Third-Party Content
UPCODEZ OTT does not require users to create an account or provide personal details such as their name, email address, phone number, or location. The privacy policy describes a minimal approach to information processing, with limited technical and usage information used for app functionality and stability.
The service provides an interface for accessing videos hosted or embedded through third-party platforms. UPCODEZ OTT does not claim ownership of the third-party video content displayed through the service.
What's Next?
This launch is only the beginning.
My next focus is to get UPCODEZ OTT in front of more users, understand how people actually use it, collect feedback, and continue improving the experience.
I’m particularly interested in learning:
- Which parts of the experience users find most useful
- What feels confusing or unnecessary
- Which features would make the product more useful
- How the overall streaming experience can be improved
I don't want to add features simply because other streaming platforms have them.
I want UPCODEZ OTT to grow based on what actually makes the experience better.
