Email campaign tools haven't fundamentally changed in a decade:
Log in → open the builder → write the copy → pick a segment → schedule → send.
It works, but it's slow — and it's exactly the kind of workflow AI assistants are starting to collapse into a single sentence.
My workflow now looks like this:
💬 "Draft a re-engagement email for subscribers who haven't opened anything in 30 days, keep the tone friendly, and send it."
That's it. Claude writes the email, builds the campaign in SendGrid, and sends it.
⚙️ How It Works
The connection gives Claude direct access to SendGrid's capabilities — so instead of you clicking through SendGrid's UI, Claude calls it on your behalf.
The setup has three parts:
1. Get your SendGrid API key 🔑
Generated in your SendGrid account settings — this is what authorizes Claude to act on your account.
2. Connect SendGrid to Claude 🔌
Add the integration so Claude can see and use SendGrid's tools.
3. Just ask ✨
Campaign creation, audience targeting, and sending — all through plain-English requests.

Segmentation from plain English is the part that feels genuinely new — describing an audience and having it translated into actual targeting.
The iteration loop is the sleeper feature. "Add a PS with the discount code" beats re-opening a builder every single time.
