Same thing I already do, read the docs, which if it's Linux related probably suck and thus experiment with different options until it works. I rely on other people's code obtained via GitHub more than Stack overflow to be totally honest.

Trying to build a new Stack Overflow is what I would do, but I guess it would take quite a lot building anything without Stack Overflow...
