I built a noise remover that runs entirely in your browser

Recording something and finding out later that the audio is full of background noise is a special kind of frustrating. Street traffic, an air conditioner, café chatter, wind — your voice is fine, everything around it isn't.

I built Denoisa to fix that: upload an audio or video file, listen to the cleaned version, and download it once it sounds right. Your voice stays the same, the noise goes.

The part I'm most happy with: the standard cleanup runs entirely in your browser. No upload to a server, no queue, no waiting for an email with your file. Files up to 5 minutes are free with no sign-up needed — you can try it right now at denoisa.com.

Why in-browser?

Two reasons:

  1. Privacy and speed. Your recording never leaves your machine in the standard tier. For longer files there's an enhanced tier that does upload, but the default path is local.
  2. It's free to serve. Because the computation happens on your device, the free tier doesn't cost server money — which is why it can stay free without sign-up.

What it's good at

I tested it against four kinds of real-world noise: street traffic, AC hum, café chatter, and wind. Voice stays intelligible and natural; steady background noise goes. If you want the details and numbers, I wrote up the whole comparison here: AI noise removal test.

Also wrote up how AI noise removal actually works, without the math: How AI background noise removal works.

Try it

Drop a file at denoisa.com — no account, and files you do upload (for the enhanced tier) are deleted after 24 hours.

Feedback welcome, especially: how does it sound on your recordings, and what's confusing in the flow?
