Introduction
As announced agent interface is coming to watsonx.ai platform out of the box. This feature will definitely simplify agent creation inside the platform. As it is in beta status for the moment, it is not visible in the interface unless some steps are taken by the user to access the feature. The following is the procedure of accessing the agent interface.
Step-by-step activation of Beta Agent features in watsonx.ai
Go to your watsonx.ai interface.
Open the prompt lab.
Select the “Chat” tab.
On the top left of the screen from the chat tab select your ID/logo and then go to “Profile and settings”.
Activate the option of “Agents on” and also it is possible to add some additional foundation models.
Return back to the prompt lab chat interface and you’ll probably need to refresh the screen. Once done, the agent access icon appears on the top right icons menu.
Click on the “Agents” icon and choose the tools you want to activate.
You can also hit the “View all” link and activate some other available tools.
