steps to learn a programming in a best way

here is a list of steps that you should follow before jumping into programming:

1. basics of your operating system
2. command-line
3. basics of any programming langauge
4. algorithms & data structures
5. version controls (e.g: git)

I just knew why it's important to know where to start? after I've spent three years of coding. because there ain't no one to guide me and I was a student of electronic engineering.
