That was surprisingly refreshing, I enjoyed the simple understated looks of the app, great job !!! 🙌 🙌

I tried it out on my laptop, my browser is Firefox and my screen resolution is 1920*1080.
My internet connection is quite weak at the moment but it was playable all the 3 times I tried it out.

Here are a few issues I found with the web-app:

  1. Some images loaded in a jiffy while others took a long time to load and a lot of the times the images would load after the question was solved and would remain on the screen. I encountered a question that required the image in order to select the option but the image never loaded on screen and I had to make a random guess.
  2. The button placement on both the welcome screen as well as the end screen are a bit confusing you could try making them a bit more pronounced.
  3. The contrast of green and red text on the grey background is not good, it is really hard to read the text.
  4. The timer is not prominently displayed and highlighted.
  5. The options would not load properly after the chess question, but that was a weird one-off bug, but you could still review that section of code to see whether theere is some discrepency.

Suggestions for above issues:

  1. Try using a compressed version of all the images and you don't need the full resolution anyway because it is just for a small display box, and wait for the image to load before displaying the options and starting the timer.
  2. Play around a bit with button placement to find a common hub for all your buttons and colour code them in order to guide the user.
  3. Instead of changing colour of the text, change the colour of the option button itself and use darker shades of red and a softer green to make it a bit more distinguishable.
  4. Highlight the timer using a different background colour around it and make the text a bit bolder, you can also try adding a clock icon next to it to make it a bit more pronounced.

All in all a really solid simple-quiz app, and I am so glad that I have both the high-scores right now. 😜 😆 😆

Looking forward to version 2.0 really soon. Good luck and have fun quashing those bugs🐞 🐞

Thanks a lot, can't really say how much I appreciate you taking time to review the project. I'll start working on it as soon as now! Thanks again, a lot!
