103 Codex skins now have their own files in the live index. That number comes from the 103 Markdown entries under the skins directory on the main branch, counted on October 30, 2026. It does not mean 103 downloads, active installs, or endorsements. It is simply the current size of the browsable collection, and it will move as maintainers add or retire entries.

Each counted item is a skin with its own slug and detail page. A CLI edition can sit next to a desktop edition because the install target is different, and that is fine. Blog posts and Chinese translations do not add to the skin total, because they describe skins rather than define them. So when you see the headline number, read it as a count of entries, not a count of unrelated visual ideas.

Where should a first time visitor start? Pick a light or dark direction first, then open two detail pages and compare their install formats. That is faster than reading the entire index in order. If a skin lists a CLI variant, check whether your setup actually uses the command line before you commit to it.

The practical takeaway is boring on purpose. The index grew, the way to use it did not. Choose a direction, compare two pages, copy the install block that matches your target, and ignore the rest until you need it.
