Star 77 spam block is a carrier toggle that can reject certain unwanted calls, often anonymous or “suspected spam” calls, depending on your provider. It can help, but it is not a universal “block all spam” button. It may block legitimate callers with hidden caller ID, and it will not reliably stop spoofed local numbers. For most small businesses, you get better results by combining carrier spam labeling, a business phone system’s block lists, routing and time-of-day rules, and queues or overflow handling so real customers still reach you. Use *77 as a quick layer, not your main defense.
