Building Yupcha: An AI Interview Platform for Scalable Hiring

๐Ÿ‘‹ Hi dev.to community,

Today Iโ€™m excited (and a bit nervous) to share a product Iโ€™ve been working on โ€” Yupcha, an AI-powered interview platform.

โ“ Why Yupcha?

Hiring at scale is hard.
Early-stage screening takes time, effort, and often feels inconsistent across candidates.

Yupcha was built to help teams conduct AI-driven interviews where candidates can be evaluated in real time based on:

Communication clarity

Problem-solving approach

Technical signals (role-specific)

The goal is not to replace humans, but to reduce repetitive screening and make interviews more structured and fair.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ What Yupcha Does

At a high level, Yupcha focuses on early-stage interview screening.

AI-conducted interviews

Real-time candidate evaluation

Consistent screening experience

Designed for early hiring stages

Itโ€™s still early โ€” learning and improving with every iteration.

๐Ÿšง Current Stage

This is an early launch.
Weโ€™re actively collecting feedback and refining how much trust and responsibility AI should have in interviews.

Some things Iโ€™m especially curious about:

Where would you trust AI in hiring?

Where should humans always stay in control?

What feels useful vs risky?

๐Ÿ’ฌ Feedback Welcome

Iโ€™m building this in public and would love honest feedback โ€” positive or critical.
