Once you've built a backend system with X language, you've pretty much known them all -- it's just a matter of learning the individual syntax.

This is actually sound advice. I prefer Python, but it really doesn't matter matter too much. To be honest, unless one is a freelancer or just want to try things out, I'd probably advise against becoming a full stack.
