As we come to the end of 2025 I am hoping all my readers get chance to take time off this Christmas and recharge. I am taking a full 2.5 weeks off and will be spending it off-grid as much as humanly possible.

I unfortunately spent last week with the flu which took me out for 4 days. I don't usually get sick, but I have been feeling quite run down and burnt out recently.

I have some big plans for 2026, for my YouTube channel and the various apps I want to release. Work is likely to be crazy next year too, so I am really going to have to juggle my energy levels and work load.

Every year between Christmas and New Year I take a bit of time to reflect and set goals for the following year.

I wasn't great with my goals this year, I must admit. I didn't meet all my financial goals for the year because everything is so bloody expensive now. I started well with fitness but sadly lost motivation by the end of June. This is definitely something I need to improve as I keep getting closer to 40!

I did however get better at guitar and am now on grade 6 instead of 4.

I must admit I have a bit of trepidation going into 2026 with the way the world is going. AI is either going to be a huge success and destroy the planet while taking all our jobs or the AI bubble will pop and take half the economy with it sending us into a recession. With so many unknowns around jobs, the economy and everything else that is happening in the world right now I have no idea what 2026 will bring.

So I hope everyone enjoys the festivities and cross all your fingers and toes for 2026.

πŸ“ Article β€” Google boss says AI investment boom has 'elements of irrationality' β€” Google is putting a lot of money into AI at the moment, but they will also likely still survive if the bubble does pop.

πŸ“ Article β€” Disney Lost Roger Rabbit β€” This filmed creeped me out as kid, but I do have some fond memories of it. It is interesting that the copyright is now back with the author. I wonder what that means for Disney and their current usage of the characters in rides and merchandise.

πŸ“ Article β€” What To Buy That Improves Quality of Life β€” I have definitely bought my fair share of rubbish in the past. I like seeing these lists to see what others deem worthy of their hard-earned cash.

πŸ“ Article β€” Disney making $1B investment in OpenAI, will allow characters on Sora AI β€” Given how Disney is with their intellectual property I didn't think this would ever happen. I wonder how this going to work. Either way, expect to see a lot of Disney characters doing questionable things in your feeds soon.

πŸ“ Article β€” Netflix to Acquire Warner Bros β€” The streaming services is too fragmented at the moment so you would hope this is a good thing but no way is Netflix not going to be raising its prices again once the WB content is added.

πŸ“ Article β€” It’s been a very hard year β€” This sums up how it has been for a lot of people I think.
