Introduction
Hi everyone! I am Allen, a first-year Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) student. In this blog, I want to share why I chose Computer Science and what I hope to build in the future.
Why I Choose Computer Science
I chose Computer Science because I want to learn more about computers and technology. I want to understand how programs work and how people use technology in their daily lives.
Before, I did not know much about programming. That is why I want to use my time in college to learn new things and improve my skills. I know that learning to code can be difficult, but I will try my best and not give up easily.
My First Steps in Programming
As a beginner, I am starting to learn C++. I am learning about variables, data types, input and output, and conditions. Sometimes, the code can be confusing, especially when I get errors, but I know that practice can help me understand it better.
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main() {
cout << "Hello, World!";
return 0;
}
This program displays "Hello, World!" on the screen. It is a simple example, but it helps me understand how to write and run a basic program.
What I Want To Learn
As I continue studying Computer Science, I want to improve in these areas:
• Writing and understanding code.
• Solving problems using programming.
• Learning different programming languages.
• Creating useful programs and applications.
• Becoming more confident when explaining my work.
What I Hope to Build in the Future
In the future, I hope to create my own programs and applications that can help people. I want to make projects that are useful and easy to use. I also want to gain more experience through school activities and personal projects.
My goal is to become better at programming and understand more about technology. I know it will take time, but I believe that learning and practicing every day can help me reach my goals.
A Message to Other Beginners
For other students who are also starting to learn programming, do not be afraid of making mistakes. Mistakes and errors are part of the learning process. We can learn from them and try again.
You do not have to be an expert right away. Just keep learning, practicing, and doing your best
Conclusion
Choosing Computer Science is the start of my journey in learning more about computers and technology. I know there will be challenges, but I will continue learning and improving my skills.
I hope to build useful projects in the future and share more of my learning experiences.
What about you? Why did you choose your course, and what do you hope to build? Feel free to share your thoughts!
