These 7 AI Tools Helped Me Write Better Code in 2024

Anmol Baranwal on December 05, 2024

Coding can be hard sometimes, especially with bugs that are tough to fix. I tried a lot of AI tools in 2024 but only 7 of those made sense for my ...

I didn't know many of them, thanks!

Here are more AI coding tools to know:

I know most of these except Phind and ZZZ Code AI.

To be honest, there are so many tools on the market now that I can only try a few of them. Thanks for sharing Hossein 🔥

Certainly, there's just way too many awesome tools to try :)

But personally, I've found Phind to be an exceptional one, it's an unlimited ChatGPT, configured specifically for programming. Definitely try it, it's awesome!

Thanks again for your awesome post as always, Anmol! 😉

We use Mintlify and I was not aware of that functionality. Definitely going to check it out!

I've actually found Claude to be more helpful for coding than ChatGPT. I feel like as a whole ChatGPT has significantly degraded over the past year.

BTW, we're building fabi.ai/ - I'd be curious to hear your take :)

Hi Marc, mintlify is definitely a decent option especially if you're into documenting code plus they also provide docs with a business email.

Impressive work on Fabi 🔥 I watched the complete demo since I know how hard it can be to collect decent feedback and I really loved the concept.

There are so many small details that make the UX very powerful and letting us confirm everything with Apply to cell before giving the AI complete control is very crucial.

To be honest, my work is not very oriented to data analysis so I'm not sure what things are needed, but I can see how Fabi can be very productive.

I've shared it with my community and will explore more later on :)

Cursor is pretty amazing, has Qodo also looks great as well.

Yes, I'm using Cursor and Perplexity right now (almost regularly). Qodo is pretty decent as well.

I think 2024 has seen a rise in great AI tools and it will just increase in 2025.

I haven't tried perplexity for coding, mostly used the plugins on ChatGPT. I'd check it out.

I highly recommend it, even for your articles. It will help you understand a topic much better, making it easier to explain. I've used it multiple times to learn something new (technical as well as general stuff).

Awesome then. Off to try it out!

Oh yes, that's made by Codeium, so it must be good.

For me, Cursor handled pretty much everything, so I didn't explore any more code editors, but I will give Windsurf a try as well.

Awesome! I'd replace Cursor with Windsurf, since I like it better.
