• I learnt how to collaborate with other people's, on open source projects.
• I gained a lot of experience from the projects that I contributed to.
• It helped me to understand open source development community as whole and how it is reshaping the software development.
• It gave me a good reason to be a part of the open source community, and how can I contribute to it to make a change.
