habits.me: A Privacy-First, Fully Offline Habit Tracker for Android

habits.me 🎯

In a world full of apps requiring constant sign-ins, cloud syncs, and telemetry, habits.me takes a different path: your data stays entirely on your device.

Whether you want to build positive daily habits, break bad ones, or track long-term routines, habits.me offers a clean, distraction-free environment without any tracking, accounts, or internet access required.

🔒 Why habits.me?

Most habit tracking apps require user registration, collect usage analytics, or gate basic features behind expensive subscriptions. habits.me was created to be:

  • 100% Privacy-First: The app doesn't request internet access for your habit data. Zero telemetry, zero third-party analytics.
  • Open Source: Built with complete transparency using modern Flutter architecture.
  • Lightweight & Fast: Responsive UI with local storage ensuring your data loads instantly.

✨ Key Features

  • Habit Management: Create custom habits with specific start/end dates, unique icons, and daily upvote/downvote completion tracking.
  • Streak & Consistency Scoring: View your current streak, longest streak, and a calculated 30-day consistency score to keep you motivated.
  • Calendar View: Missed a day? Easily inspect or edit past days using the interactive calendar view.
  • Flexible Home Dashboard: Quickly filter active vs. inactive habits or navigate back/forth in time using the built-in date picker.
  • Daily Reminders: Configurable local notifications so you never forget to check off a habit.
  • Backup & Restore: Full control over your data with manual file backups (via system file picker) and daily auto-backups stored safely on your phone.
  • Theme Customization: Personalize the look and feel with dark/light themes and accent colors.

🛠️ Tech Stack

For the developers curious about what's under the hood:

  • Framework: Flutter (Stable)
  • Local Database: Drift (SQLite)
  • State Management: Riverpod
  • Key Packages: shared_preferences, flutter_local_notifications, file_picker
