You stall at the start
because the first version isn't good.
Of course it isn't.
It's not supposed to be.
The first draft has one job:
to exist.
To be a thing you can fix,
instead of a blank page you can't.
Waiting for it to come out great
is how projects die
before they're ever born.
The people who create a lot
aren't more brilliant on the first pass.
They're just more willing
to make something bad
and then make it better.
Perfect is not the entry fee.
Started is.
Let the first draft be ugly.
Ugly and done beats perfect and imaginary
every single time.
Write the bad version.
Then you have something to save.
