My Goals for 2025

This is a submission for the 2025 New Year Writing challenge: Retro’ing and Debugging 2024.

Hi everyone!

This is my first post on Dev (and writing my first blog post about me!).

I recently started a bootcamp with Brainstation (yes, it's cringe and too late) and I love the learning structure that it provides that I found I was lacking in my own self learning journey through The Odin Project.

I have been coding since May 2024 and I've been getting more and more interested in it. I also recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology so it's a bit of a turn for me but coding and tech has piqued my interest and hasn't stopped since.

For my goals for 2025 I plan on completing a Full Stack project (stay tuned, I won't tell you what it is yet!) and flex my coding muscles and eventually land a full time gig.

I also plan on moving, buying my own car (a Mazda Rx-8 Shell which I plan on putting a new engine on), watching the new F1 Season (can't wait to see Hamilton in a Ferrari suit), and connecting with my hobbies more. I realize that to code better I need to take care of myself better, and through salsa dancing, improv, the gym, piano and spending time with friends, I find myself at my best mentally.

Here's to a good 2025! Hope everyone resolves their goals for this year too!
