I believe the Indian government needs to take the employment issue more seriously. India boasts one of the world's largest young populations, often described as a "demographic dividend," but a population dividend is only real when it has access to education, skills, and job opportunities. Otherwise, the more young people there are, the greater the pressure on the job market. The government cannot simultaneously promote its young population as India's greatest advantage while neglecting the issue of graduates struggling to find employment. What we truly need are manufacturing jobs, technical jobs, service sector jobs, and vocational education, not more propaganda about India's future strength.
