TL;DR: Monster Hunter Wilds has added 4 confirmed monsters and 2 subspecies since the March 2026 launch. Each ships with a mainline quest, event quests, and layered armor. The current post-launch monster list:
- Gogmazios — Title Update 2, released with the Ancient Forest re-cut
- Lagiacrus — Title Update 3 event, water-cluster hunts
- Furious Rajang — event-only, gated by HR 100 + specific investigation
- Nakarkos — colossal fight in the Rotted Vale expansion
- + 2 subspecies (Ebony Odogaron, Silver Rathalos)
For each: quest name, HR gate, weakness (element + status), rarest drop with %, and the specific event quest that gives layered armor. Also: which two monsters are best farmed together for efficient decoration grinding.
