Stop Installing Desktop Apps: Manage, Convert, and OCR Your PDFs Directly in the Browser 🛠️

Every developer, student, and office worker hits the same wall sooner or later: you need to merge two PDFs, shrink a file for an upload form, or remove one page before sending a document, and you don't want to install a heavy desktop app or create yet another account.

That's why I'm sharing the Noloii File & PDF Tools collection: 11 focused, browser-based PDF utilities, each built for one specific job.

👉 Try it here: noloii.com/tools/file-tools

What's inside

Organize your pages

Optimize and unlock

Extract and analyze

  • PDF OCR: turn scanned PDFs and images into searchable text
  • PDF Table Extractor: convert tables in PDFs into structured data
  • PDF Compare: spot differences between two versions of a document

Privacy

  • PDF Redactor: permanently hide sensitive information before sharing

Real-world use cases

  • Job applications: compress a resume or portfolio PDF to fit an upload limit
  • Contracts and specs: compare two revisions and see what changed
  • Research: OCR scanned papers so you can actually search them
  • Finance and ops: extract tables from invoices and reports for analysis
  • Sharing safely: redact personal data before sending a document

A few things worth knowing

These are the details that trip people up, and they're good to understand even if you never use a tool:

  1. Deleting vs. extracting pages. Deleting keeps the rest of the document; extracting creates a new PDF containing only the selected pages.
  2. Real redaction ≠ a black box. Drawing a shape over text doesn't remove the text underneath. Proper redaction removes the content itself.
  3. OCR isn't magic. Accuracy depends on scan quality, fonts, language, and layout. Always review results when accuracy matters.
  4. Table extraction is hard. Merged cells and positioned text make PDF tables messy, so check the output against the original.
  5. Compression results vary. The savings depend on embedded images, fonts, and how compressed the file already was.

Simple workflow

Every tool follows the same pattern:

  1. Pick a tool
  2. Upload your PDF
  3. Set options (pages, compression level, OCR settings)
  4. Process and save the result

Who is it for?

Students, researchers, office professionals, developers testing document workflows, small businesses, content creators, and anyone who just needs to fix a PDF in under a minute.

Final thoughts

If you've ever Googled "merge PDF online" and landed on a site that wanted your email first, give this collection a try. It's free, focused, and works right in your browser.
