Been there, done that.
Remember opening Eclipse in 2006? I've been there.
I first used it in as an intern in 2006 and thought it was amazing... Then a year later I started my postgrad studies and installed Eclipse on an older Pentium III machine with 256 MB of RAM.
I'd be typing code and it would suddenly just freeze solid and enter swap death for like 30 seconds, before the rest of what I'd typed suddenly spammed out in one burst.

Once got AWS spend warning for an annual renewal that went through at $925,000 out of nowhere. Thing was it didn't say what it was, so what's a techie to do, what to do.....call several senior managers and cause a panic at 5.30am!
