Introducing Apixies.io โ€“ A Free Toolbox of Micro APIs for Developers

Hey devs! ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm BuฤŸra, a full-stack developer and CTO, and I've been working on a side project called Apixies.io. It's a collection of small, focu...

Hey BuฤŸra, Apixies.io looks super useful, love the focused, no-frills approach to micro APIs!

You should definitely consider launching it on Startups Lab - it's a growing hub for indie makers and SaaS founders to share their products, get early feedback, and reach more people. Would be awesome to see Apixies.io featured there! ๐Ÿš€

Check it out here: startupslab.site/

love seeing free tools like this pop up tbh - makes me wanna mess with building stuff again. you ever think about what actually keeps you wanting to add more? like is it the feedback or just building for the sake of it?

Hi Nero. Thanks for your comment. For me it's the problem-solving challenge and seeing the results take shape. I sometimes go weeks without external feedback, but the process itself is what keeps me coming back. The "building for the sake of it" part definitely resonates - there's something satisfying about creating something functional from nothing.

Cool project! I think an interesting couple of features would be getting the user's location and language based on IP.

Thanks for your comment. I can see why this could be a useful API! Getting a user's location from their IP is pretty straightforward, but figuring out their language is mostly guesswork. You can try suggesting languages based on the country or region, but it gets tricky in places like India or China where many languages are spoken. Showing a list of commonly spoken languages in that area might be a good alternative

That's a great alternative! I support it ๐Ÿ‘

Hey Wassim!
You sparked something โ€” I built the ip-geolocation endpoint literally the day after your comment and released it this morning!
Check it out: apixies.io/docs/ip-geolocation
Appreciate the inspiration โ€” let me know what you think!

this is pretty cool, i never get tired of tools that just work without a ton of steps - you ever worry the simple stuff delivers more value than the fancy features everyone chases?

Thanks Nevo! That was exactly my thinking when building this. In my day-to-day development work, I noticed how much time gets spent just finding and implementing simple utility APIs. It's surprising how often the straightforward tools end up being the most valuable.

I created Apixies because I wanted something that developers could just grab and use immediately without any friction. There's something satisfying about building tools that solve specific problems without unnecessary complexity. Glad you appreciate my approach!
