Nobody has talked about the good copywriting of the petition's creator?:

"For too long the wireless mouse have suffered from an anatomically incorrect name. How can a mouse without the blessing of being born with a tail be called a mouse? It's a hamster, damn it. Our computers deserve diversity in accessory names. Let the mice forever continue to be wired, and may the hamster guide you wirelessly!"

I haven't decided yet. But I'm getting wrist pain because of excessive use of the mouse. I've seen multiple ergonomic videos on youtube suggesting vertical mouses. So, I just want to give it a try.

(full disclosure - I stick to wireless-less mice i.e. I'm not using a wireless "rodent" for my digital pointing needs, so this does not personally affect me as much - hence my buy-in FWIW will inevitably be marginal)

Here’s an idea: We change as many mouse-related variables and functions to ‘hamster’, in order to force our oppressive mouse-kin overlords to recognize all of HID-kind!
