POV: me at the submission deadline
Anywayyy, meet StockRescue đ
The idea is pretty simple.
Imagine Store A runs out of milk, but Store B nearby has extra.
Why can't they just help each other out?
So I built a tiny prototype using Python + Streamlit + FalkorDB that finds nearby stores with extra stock and suggests safe transfers.
Also, this was my first time trying graph databases! Basically, instead of just storing data, you connect things and explore their relationships.
Kinda cool when you actually see it working.
Now the fun part đ
I'm curious how Blinkit, FirstClub, Zepto and Swiggy Instamart deal with stock shortages across their stores.
Do you guys face similar problems? How do you handle them at scale?
And devs, help me out here!
What else could I build into this? Demand prediction? Better stock movement? Some wild AI idea?
Would love suggestions, feedback, or people who want to build together. đĢļ
First hackathon â submission
First experiment â
First blog â
We move. đĻĢ
Also, a big shoutout to @WeMakeDevs and FalkorDB for organizing Graph Hacks! đĢļ
Didn't make it to the submission, but you guys definitely got me to explore something new. đđ
And of course, thanks to Claude, my master rescuer as always. đĢĄ
See you at the next hackathon (hopefully with an actual submission this time đ).
