Just got rejected for a loan and I'm freaking out

I'm still trying to process what happened last week. I suddenly needed ₱10,000 because my sister's tuition fee was due, and I was the only one who could help her out. I thought, no big deal, I'll just apply for a loan at BDO. But, guess what? My application got rejected. I have a few late payments on my credit card, and my CIC score is pretty bad. I'm talking below 600.

I was so worried and stressed out. I didn't know what to do. I started searching online for other options, and that's when I found this really helpful article about bad credit loans in the Philippines - https://www.creditkaagapay.com/blog/bad-credit-loan-philippines-your-practical-guide-2026/. It explained how understanding my CIC score is crucial, and that on-time payments can significantly improve my score. I also learned about balance transfers and how they can help manage existing debt.

But, here's the thing, I needed the money ASAP, and I didn't have time to improve my credit score. I started looking for lenders that offer loans to people with bad credit, and let me tell you, the interest rates are crazy high. I saw one lender offering a loan with an interest rate of 5% per month, which translates to a 60% APR. I was like, "Is this even legal?"

I was about to give up when I stumbled upon this website - I found this while searching online, https://www.creditkaagapay.com/, and it seemed like they had some pretty good options for people with bad credit. They also had a lot of helpful information on how to improve my credit score, which I'm definitely going to work on.

I ended up applying for a loan with one of the lenders they recommended, and I got approved for ₱8,000. The interest rate is still pretty high, but at least I got the money I needed. I'm just relieved that I can help my sister out now.

I'm not going to lie, the whole experience was frustrating and stressful. But, I learned a lot from it. I realized that I need to work on improving my credit score, and I need to be more responsible with my finances. I'm going to start by paying my bills on time and reducing my debt.

Just sharing in case this helps someone who's going through the same thing. Has anyone else had a similar experience? How did you deal with it?
