Just had to borrow ₱10,000 urgently and I'm still stressed about it

Last week, I suddenly needed ₱10,000 because my brother's car broke down and he couldn't get to work, so I had to lend him the money to get it fixed. The problem was, I didn't have that kind of cash just lying around, so I had to look for a loan. I tried applying for a personal loan from one of the big banks, but they rejected me because of my credit score. I was worried and stressed, thinking about how I was going to come up with the money.

I started looking around for other options and found some lenders that were offering loans with really high interest rates - we're talking about 3.5% to 4% per month. I was hesitant to take one of those loans because I knew I'd end up paying a lot more than the original amount I borrowed. I felt frustrated and trapped, like I was being taken advantage of.

A few days ago, I was talking to a friend who had recently applied for a loan and she told me about the latest news from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). Apparently, they've decided to keep their key policy interest rate steady, which means that borrowing costs will remain relatively stable for now. I found this while searching online, and I stumbled upon this article from https://www.creditkaagapay.com/blog/bsp-holds-rates-what-it-means-for-borrowers/ that explained everything in detail.

According to the article, the BSP's decision is driven by moderating inflation, but they're also being cautious because of the ongoing global economic uncertainties. This means that borrowers like me can expect current loan rates to remain relatively stable for now. The article also mentioned that a good credit score is crucial for securing favorable loan terms, which is something I need to work on.

I also checked out the Credit Kaagapay website, https://www.creditkaagapay.com/, and found some really useful information about loan rates and how to navigate your borrowing options wisely. They even have a section where you can check your credit score for free, which I thought was really helpful.

In the end, I managed to find a lender that offered a relatively decent interest rate - 2.5% per month - and I was able to borrow the ₱10,000 I needed. I'm just relieved that I was able to get the money, but I'm still stressed about how I'm going to pay it back. I guess I'll just have to be more careful with my finances from now on.

Just sharing in case this helps someone who's going through a similar situation. Has anyone else had to deal with a similar problem? How did you manage to get a loan with a decent interest rate?
