Just went through a financial nightmare and I'm still trying to process everything

Last month, I suddenly needed ₱5,000 because my phone got stolen and I had to replace it ASAP for work. I know it's not a lot, but I've been living paycheck to paycheck, and I didn't have enough savings to cover it. I tried applying for a loan from a bank, but I got rejected because of my credit score. I was so frustrated - I've been paying my bills on time, but I guess it wasn't enough.

I started looking for other options and found some online lenders that offered quick cash loans. But the interest rates were insane - up to 5% per month! I was worried that I'd end up paying more than twice the amount I borrowed. I didn't know what to do, and I was getting more and more stressed by the minute.

A few days ago, I was talking to a friend who's been through a similar situation, and she told me to check my credit score first before applying for any loans. I had no idea that my credit score could affect the interest rates I'd get. I found this while searching online - I stumbled upon https://www.creditkaagapay.com/ and they offered a free credit score check. I was skeptical at first, but I figured it was worth a try.

I also came across this article - https://www.creditkaagapay.com/blog/bsp-inflation-vigilance-what-it-means-for-loans-in-ph/ - that explained how the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas's inflation vigilance affects loan interest rates. It was a lot to take in, but it made me realize that I need to be more careful with my finances.

I ended up borrowing ₱3,000 from a licensed online lender, but the interest rate is still pretty high - 3.5% per month. I'm trying to pay it back as soon as possible to avoid accumulating more interest. I've also started working on improving my credit score, so I can get better loan terms in the future.

I'm relieved that I was able to get the money I needed, but I'm still stressed about paying it back. I just hope that I can get back on my feet soon. Just sharing in case this helps someone who's going through a similar situation - be careful with those loan interest rates, and try to improve your credit score ASAP!
