Lorenz is an open-source tool for converting files locally. You drag files onto radial wheels, and the conversion runs on your machine, with no upload. It targets Windows and Linux (KDE) users who want a quick, visual way to convert files.
This release, v1.2.2, mostly improves packaging and the CI pipeline.
What's new
- AppImage builds now embed update information, and the zsync file is published with each release, so AppImage users can update incrementally.
- AppStream metadata is shipped inside the AppImage.
- Each release is published to winget automatically through Komac.
- An advanced CodeQL workflow scans Rust, C/C++ and GitHub Actions code.
- CI checks now run according to the scope of each change.
- Weekly dependency updates are configured, and several GitHub Actions dependencies were bumped.
- The README has a new three-wheel hero, with light and dark variants.
Installation

Lorenz-Setup-x64.exeinstaller, or install through winget. -
