ChaosticTool is a security assessment tool for authorized testing. It is available as a command-line interface and as a desktop application, and it groups reconnaissance steps into guided flows so a mission can be run and documented from start to finish.
What's new in 2.2.0
- Mission reports can be exported to Markdown, plain text, PDF and JSON.
- API keys can be persisted in an opt-in file store with 0600 permissions when no system Secret Service is available. The optional
cryptographylibrary is recommended for this store. - The file store is hardened against symlink and TOCTOU attacks and works on Windows.
- Subdomain enumeration gains a fan-out cap, exclusions and a clearer clear/enumerate workflow.
- Amass standalone presets now display discovered names.
- Visual keycap command bars across the CLI screens.
- Full-screen dialogs show captured output with colours, and the alternate-screen flash is gone.
Installation
- Linux: DEB, RPM, AppImage or tar.gz, for x64 and arm64.
- macOS: DMG for Intel and Apple Silicon.
- Windows: installers for x64 and arm64.
