Get paid while your AI agent works

AI coding agents changed what it means to wait at a computer.

The old spinner usually meant a network request. The new spinner might mean an agent is reading a repository, calling a tool, running tests, waiting on a remote job, or trying a second approach. The developer is still there, but the work has moved elsewhere for a moment.

WaitSpin turns that moment into earnings.

The idea is simple. During a verified AI-agent wait state, a supported tool can show one short sponsored line. The line does not interrupt typing or cover the editor. It appears while the agent is already busy. Advertisers pay for verified impressions. Developers receive 60% of billed impression revenue when an eligible paid impression is verified. Fill and earnings depend on active campaigns, verified delivery, and payout requirements.

Today, the native WaitSpin account and campaign app is available on the Mac App Store.

A campaign should take less time than the wait it targets

Most ad products start with a dense dashboard. WaitSpin starts with one line and one URL.

An advertiser writes a short message, adds the destination, and can include a brand name. Then they choose a fixed impression block:

Single: 1,000 impressions
Try-on: 10,000 impressions
Growth: 25,000 impressions
Launch: 50,000 impressions

The Mac app shows the campaign budget and App Store price before purchase. Payment uses In-App Purchase. WaitSpin activates the inventory only after it verifies the StoreKit transaction.

One sponsored line, one destination, and a fixed block of verified impressions.
Delivery should be readable at a glance

Each campaign reports three numbers: purchased, served, and remaining. That is the contract.

There is no impression estimate hidden behind a reach score. A block contains a known number of impressions, and the campaign view shows its progress. When a campaign finishes, the advertiser can run it again.

Campaign inventory stays visible as purchased, served, and remaining impressions.
The surface matters more than the ad format

WaitSpin is not trying to place banners inside code. The format is intentionally small because the context is specific: the developer has handed work to an agent and is waiting for the result.

Supported tools and surfaces include VS Code, Cursor, Devin Desktop, Claude Code, MiMo Code, OpenCode, Grok Code CLI, Antigravity CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, and Qoder CLI.

The audience around these tools is already large. GitHub counted approximately 28 million developers in the United States, 21.9 million in India, and 6.89 million in Brazil in 2025. JetBrains reports that 90% of professional developers use AI coding agents at work at least weekly. Claude Code alone is used by approximately 39% globally and 47% in the United States.

Those numbers describe the wider developer ecosystem, not guaranteed WaitSpin reach. WaitSpin reports actual campaign delivery as purchased, served, and remaining verified impressions.

The Mac app does not modify local editor files or install plugins in the background. It sends users to official marketplaces and first-party setup guides. Each earning surface is explicit and visible.

WaitSpin keeps every supported tool and its setup path in one place.
Trust is part of the product

Advertising software should not get a free pass on data collection.

WaitSpin product analytics are optional. The app excludes email addresses, one-time codes, keys, balances, ad creative, destination URLs, and payment details from analytics. A user can also delete the account from Settings.

Those controls are not buried in a web account page. They live in the app next to integration status and diagnostics.

Analytics are optional, and the app states what it excludes from collection.
A deliberately narrow experiment

WaitSpin will not make every wait useful. Some pauses are too short. Some developers will never accept advertising in their tools. That objection is reasonable.

The bet is narrower: for people who already use AI agents for long-running work, a short sponsor line can be less disruptive than a feed, a notification, or a tab change. It can also give tool builders and developers a direct way to earn from a real part of the workflow.

The market now has a native Mac entry point. Developers can review their wallet and supported integrations. Advertisers can create and buy campaigns. Both sides use the same WaitSpin account.
