I am a web developer and I live in Buenos Aires. I have been working working in web development since 2012. Then, in 2020 I started working at Portinos as a developer where I became the team leader.
For me it is always very difficult to find junior developers who know php. It is not included as a relevant language in any university or course any more. :(
I cannot speak for anybody else but I notice that PHP is still very relevant in the Netherlands. Also agencies do still use it very much over here so schools ( not persé universities ) are pretty flexible.
