Social proof is everything in modern web design. Showing who liked, commented, or reacted to a post instantly makes your application feel alive and engaging.
I wanted to build a clean, recognizable avatar group similar to Facebook's reaction summaries, and I wanted it to be incredibly simple for anyone to add to their website. So, I built this Interactive Facebook-Style Avatar Reactions design!
What I Built
This is a sleek, beautifully designed avatar group component that features smooth, engaging animations. Here is what makes it stand out:
✅ Sleek Overlapping Effect: Perfectly spaces the avatars to create that classic clustered, community look.
✅ Interactive Hover Animations: Hovering over an individual profile picture gently elevates and enlarges it, making it pop out of the group.
✅ Integrated Reaction Badges: Features classic social media reaction icons (Like, Haha, Care, Wow, Angry) perfectly positioned on each avatar.
✅ Ready to Use: Very lightweight and easy to drop into your project to instantly upgrade your user interface.

The Design Experience
The Grouped Look
Instead of displaying profile pictures side-by-side, they naturally overlap each other. This saves space on your layout while creating a strong visual sense of community and interaction.
The Hover Pop
When a user points their mouse at an avatar, the design responds immediately. The selected profile picture smoothly grows and moves up to the front, making it easy to see exactly who reacted without clicking anything.
The Reaction Badges
The tiny emoji badges sit perfectly on the bottom corner of the profile pictures to show exactly how people felt about a post or comment, adding that familiar social media feel.
Where to Use This
Social Media Dashboards: Show who recently interacted with a post.
Comment Sections: Display the top reactors on an article or blog.
User Engagement Widgets: Perfect for community-driven platforms showing active collaborators.
