Out of frustration, I ran my resume through an ATS-style resume roast to see what was actually happening.
It was painful — but eye-opening.
Turns out:
My bullet points described tasks, not impact
Keywords existed, but not in ATS-readable form
Sections I thought mattered were being ignored
My “clean” formatting was hurting parsing
After fixing those, responses didn’t explode — but they started coming. And that was the difference.
Sharing this because a lot of people here are qualified but still stuck.
