Skilltestpro Review? Is it any good for CompTIA A+?

I recently prepared for the CompTIA A+ (220-1201 & 220-1202) exams, and one of the resources I relied on was Skilltestpro. Since I’ve used similar platforms before for other certifications, I wanted to see how well Skilltestpro worked for an entry-level IT exam like A+. Here’s my honest take based on my experience.

Comprehensive Coverage of CompTIA A+

Skilltestpro offers practice exams that directly cover the current A+ Core 1 and Core 2 objectives. The material includes all the major domains:

Hardware, networking, and mobile devices

Operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS, and more)

Security essentials

Software troubleshooting and operational procedures

The breadth of their coverage meant I didn’t feel like I was missing any exam objective, which was reassuring going into the test.

Quality of Practice Tests

One thing I liked is that the practice questions weren’t just “memorization” type. They felt very close to what I encountered on the actual exam. Skilltestpro mixes in:

Multiple-choice questions to test your theoretical knowledge across all domains.

Scenario-based questions that make you think like a support technician handling real-world issues.

Performance-style questions (simulated) that mimic how CompTIA A+ tests your ability to apply skills.

This variety helped me not just study, but practice the way the exam expects.

Detailed Explanations and Study Notes

Every question comes with a detailed explanation. What I found most useful was that Skilltestpro didn’t just tell me what the right answer was—they broke down why it’s correct. That helped me spot my weak areas quickly.

The exam notes were also handy. Before the test, I used them as a quick refresher since they condense a huge amount of information into clear, digestible points.

Regular Updates

CompTIA updates its exam codes and objectives from time to time, and Skilltestpro seems to stay on top of these changes. Their practice exams were aligned with the current 220-1201 and 220-1202 content, so I wasn’t worried about outdated questions.

Realistic Test Environment

Skilltestpro also simulates the exam format. The timed tests and familiar interface gave me a sense of what to expect on test day. This helped me manage my time better and reduced the anxiety of walking into a completely unfamiliar environment.

Conclusion

Based on my experience, Skilltestpro is definitely useful for CompTIA A+ prep. The practice tests are well-structured, updated regularly, and the detailed explanations make learning much easier. Combined with the realistic test environment, it gave me the confidence I needed to sit for both Core 1 and Core 2.

If you’re just starting out in IT and aiming to pass CompTIA A+ on your first try, Skilltestpro can be a solid part of your preparation toolkit.
