To be straightforward, I'm not feeling too keen on packages that aren't well-maintained, and three years is a really long time... In these past three years, most developers migrated to using AI, our workflows changed, and everything moved at the speed of lightβexcept KafkaJS. https://www.npmjs.com/package/kafkajs
So, since I don't have much of a social life and I care about maintainability, I decided to do something about it. What started as a simple TypeScript rewrite of KafkaJS went a bit out of control. That's why I'd love to invite the community to help develop and maintain it. https://github.com/cookieMonsterDev/kafka
My thoughs about roadmap includes adding a global setup via kafka.config.ts, an npx-compatible CLI, and a UI studio to visualize, simulate, and manage your Kafka topics and messages.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on my AI slop!)))
