How to swap BTC to SOL with no sign-up (step by step)

You have Bitcoin and want SOL in your own Solana wallet, without creating an exchange account. Here is the full flow on Craic Hub Exchange, plus the wallet-safety habits that matter more than any exchange.

What you need

  • BTC in a wallet you control (a hardware wallet, Electrum, Sparrow, or a mobile wallet).
  • A Solana wallet to receive SOL: Phantom, Solflare or Backpack all work. You only need its public address.
  • Five minutes and a calm head. Crypto transfers can't be reversed.

Why this route works without an account

Bitcoin wallets can't "connect" to a web app the way Solana or EVM wallets can. So the BTC route on Craic Hub uses the Any coin, any chain page, powered by ChangeNOW: you send BTC to a one-time deposit address, and SOL is delivered to the address you gave. No sign-up is needed. Be aware ChangeNOW may ask for checks on transactions its own AML rules flag; that's their policy, not ours.

Step by step

  1. Open thehubexchange.com and pick 🌍 Any coin, any chain (or go straight to thehubexchange.com/#/any).
  2. In the widget, set You send to BTC and You get to SOL.
  3. Enter the amount. The widget shows an estimate and the minimum amount. Read both.
  4. Paste your Solana receiving address. Copy it from your wallet's Receive screen, never from a chat message or an old note.
  5. Check the first and last 4–6 characters of the pasted address against your wallet. Clipboard-hijacking malware swaps addresses silently.
  6. Confirm. You'll get a BTC deposit address and an exchange ID. Save the ID: it's how support finds your swap.
  7. From your Bitcoin wallet, send the exact amount to that deposit address. Again, check the first and last characters.
  8. Wait. Bitcoin needs block confirmations, so this can take a while. The widget shows each stage.
  9. When SOL lands, open your Solana wallet and confirm the balance, or look your address up on a Solana explorer like Solscan.

Wallet safety checklist

  • Never share your seed phrase. No exchange, support agent or "verification bot" needs it. Anyone asking is a scammer.
  • Bookmark the real site. Type thehubexchange.com yourself; fake lookalike domains are common.
  • Do a small test first if it's your first time, then send the rest.
  • Keep fee money. To move tokens on Solana later you need a little SOL for network fees.
  • Watch for dust and fake airdrops in your wallet afterwards. Don't interact with tokens you didn't expect.

After you have SOL

From the same site you can search any Solana token by name, ticker or contract and swap it from your own wallet via Jupiter. Every token page runs a pre-trade safety check first; see our guide on checking a token is safe before you swap.
