How to swap ETH to SOL with no sign-up (non-custodial)

Moving from Ethereum to Solana used to mean a centralised exchange account and a withdrawal queue. Here is how to do it from your own wallet on Craic Hub Exchange, with no sign-up and nothing held by us.

What you need

  • ETH in a wallet you control, such as MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet or Phantom (which supports Ethereum).
  • A Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack) to receive SOL.
  • Some extra ETH for Ethereum gas.

How the route works

ETH to SOL on Craic Hub goes through the EVM and cross-chain page, which embeds the LI.FI widget. LI.FI finds a bridge-and-swap route, and you sign every transaction in your own wallet. Craic Hub never holds your funds. Bridges carry extra risk, so read the route before you sign.

Step by step

  1. Open thehubexchange.com and choose 🌐 EVM and cross-chain (thehubexchange.com/#/bridge).
  2. Click Connect wallet. The "Connect any wallet" picker lists featured wallets, auto-detects what's installed, and has a Search any wallet box if yours isn't shown.
  3. Set From: Ethereum / ETH. Set To: Solana / SOL.
  4. Enter the amount. LI.FI shows available routes, the estimated time and the gas cost.
  5. Enter or connect your Solana destination address. Check the first and last characters against your wallet's Receive screen.
  6. Review the route: which bridge, what you'll receive, and the time estimate. If something looks off, stop.
  7. Click to start and approve in your wallet. Read what the wallet prompt says you're signing.
  8. Wait for the bridge to finish. The widget tracks the status; keep the tab open until it completes.
  9. Confirm the SOL in your Solana wallet or on an explorer.

Wallet safety checklist

  • Read every signature request. An "approve unlimited" or "setApprovalForAll" prompt you didn't expect is a red flag.
  • Revoke old approvals occasionally with a tool like revoke.cash.
  • Never type your seed phrase into a website. Connecting a wallet never needs it.
  • Test with a small amount first, especially on a bridge you haven't used.
  • Don't rush because of a DM. Scammers love "urgent" support messages.

Swapping on Solana afterwards

Once you have SOL, search any token on the home page and swap via Jupiter. Each token page runs a pre-trade safety check before you trade.
