Investing on Autopilot: My Experience Using Auto-Invest

Today I want to share my experience using Auto-Invest — a tool that allows you to invest in cryptocurrency completely on autopilot. No manual trading, no staring at charts, no panic when the market spikes or crashes. You just set the parameters — and the system does the rest.

What is Auto-Invest? Auto-Invest is an automated strategy that allows you to regularly purchase crypto based on predefined settings. You choose:
the cryptocurrencies (e.g., BTC, ETH, or something more adventurous),
the frequency (daily, weekly, or monthly),
and the investment amount.
And after that… it all happens without your intervention.

This approach is very similar to the classic Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) strategy, where the main idea is to invest a fixed amount at regular intervals — regardless of the asset's current price — to "average" your entry point.

Why is this relevant for developers? As technical people, we're used to automating everything we can. Auto-Invest is that same mindset applied to crypto.
Instead of:
constantly monitoring the market,
trying to guess the “right” time to buy,
emotionally reacting to every price swing...
...you just configure the logic once — and the investing happens on its own. It saves time, nerves, and honestly, money too.

The Experiment: $10,000, 10 Coins, 3 Months
To see how this works in practice, I ran a small experiment.

Here's the breakdown:
Total budget: $10,000
Number of assets: 10 cryptocurrencies
Platform: WhiteBIT
Period: April 1 – July 1, 2025
Frequency: $83 per coin, weekly
Manual actions: 0
The list included a mix of well-known coins and new promising assets.

👉 Results:
After 3 months of automatic investing, the portfolio delivered the following performance:
$HYPE — the biggest winner with +201.52%
$WBT — +55.32%
$ETH — +35.06%
The worst performer was $ADA, which dropped -14.98%, but overall the portfolio ended in profit.

This clearly confirmed that:
Auto-Invest works,
Diversification is essential,
Sometimes, newcomer coins outperform the classics.
