MyZubster LIFE 2027: From Vision to Scientific and Operational Coordination
August 26, 2026 marks another step in the evolution of MyZubster.
Over the past weeks, we have been turning a broad technological vision into something more structured: an open architecture, technical experiments, public development activity, and now direct conversations with organizations that could contribute scientific, environmental, territorial, and digital expertise.
The direction is becoming clearer:
Build → Measure → Verify → Connect → Replicate.
And MyZubster LIFE 2027 is beginning to move from outreach toward operational discussions.
CRPA: a concrete scientific dialogue
Today we spoke directly with CRPA — Research Centre for Animal Production about a possible future LIFE project.
The conversation focused on areas including:
circular water;
irrigation water reuse;
environmental and agricultural data;
scientific monitoring;
field validation;
KPI/MRV;
economic sustainability of participation.
Following the call, CRPA provided written confirmation of its potential interest in participating in a new LIFE project capable of building on relevant previous experience.
A dedicated technical meeting has now been scheduled for September 8, 2026.
This does not mean that CRPA is already a confirmed MyZubster LIFE 2027 partner.
It means something more precise: there is now an active technical dialogue, backed by a direct conversation, written correspondence and a scheduled operational meeting.
UNIBO: scientific methodology comes next
Tomorrow, August 27, MyZubster will meet with Prof. Renata Archetti from the University of Bologna.
The discussion is intended to explore questions such as:
What should we measure?
Which KPIs can actually demonstrate environmental impact?
How should evidence be validated?
How should environmental data be governed?
What would make a MyZubster experiment scientifically reproducible?
The objective is not to assign a partnership in advance.
The objective is to determine whether we can define a scientifically credible methodology for a first end-to-end experiment.
Agrosistemi: technical follow-up required
Agrosistemi remains part of the ongoing dialogue, but its representatives will not participate in tomorrow's technical meeting.
This distinction matters.
Rather than pretending that every organization contacted is already part of a consortium, MyZubster is documenting the actual status of each relationship.
The next step will therefore be to translate the requirements emerging from the scientific discussion into specific questions concerning datasets, metadata, agronomic information and data-governance conditions.
Maggioli: an operational meeting is scheduled
Another important development arrived today.
A first operational discussion with Maggioli has been scheduled for August 31.
The proposed discussion includes:
circular economy + environmental sustainability + digitalization + MRV + territorial replicability.
We also want to understand whether there could eventually be a useful role in the design or management of a future LIFE proposal.
Again, this is an exploratory meeting — not an announcement of partnership.
But the transition from email outreach to a scheduled operational discussion is meaningful.
UnitelmaSapienza: circular economy and MRV dialogue continues
Discussions with researchers at UnitelmaSapienza are also continuing.
A meeting is expected to be organized after the return of one of the researchers in early September.
The areas under discussion include circular economy, environmental measurement and MRV.
This could become another complementary scientific perspective within the broader research architecture.
GitHub answered us too
We also received a direct response from the GitHub for Startups team.
They clarified the current eligibility requirements of their startup program, including approved-partner affiliation and funding-related requirements.
Those conditions mean that we cannot simply assume access to that program.
But getting a concrete answer is itself useful.
It converts an assumption into information.
Separately, our exploratory partnership request remains just that: an outreach request, not a GitHub partnership or endorsement of MyZubster.
That distinction is fundamental to how we want to build this project.
Meanwhile, the open-source infrastructure keeps moving
MyZubster development is continuing in public.
Contributors are submitting code.
Pull requests are being reviewed.
Bounties are producing real coordination challenges.
Automated tests are finding problems.
Some workflows are failing.
And that last point matters.
A failed test is not evidence that the project is failing.
It is evidence that verification is working.
If our future architecture is based on evidence, we cannot publish only successes.
Code must fail when assumptions are wrong.
Scientific hypotheses must be challenged.
Environmental measurements must be independently interpretable.
And partnerships must not be announced before they actually exist.
The emerging LIFE 2027 architecture
We can now begin to see a possible structure:

But every arrow in this architecture still has to be demonstrated.
This is the important change
A few months ago, we could describe what MyZubster might become.
Now we are beginning to ask external organizations:
Can this be scientifically measured?
Can this dataset support it?
Can this methodology validate it?
Can this organization test it?
Can somebody else reproduce the result?
Those are much harder questions.
And that is precisely why they matter.
MyZubster LIFE 2027 should not become a collection of logos.
It should become a network of clearly defined responsibilities and verifiable evidence.
The organizations mentioned here are at different stages of discussion, and no exploratory conversation should be interpreted as an official partnership unless explicitly confirmed.
What happens next
The immediate sequence is now:
August 27 → scientific discussion with UNIBO
August 31 → operational discussion with Maggioli
Early September → potential UnitelmaSapienza discussion
September 8 → technical discussion with CRPA
Between those meetings, development continues.
The objective is increasingly simple:
Stop asking how futuristic MyZubster sounds. Start demonstrating what MyZubster can prove.
The digital era is already here.
The next challenge is connecting digital systems to measurable reality.
