I'm dani, an indie iOS developer from Japan 🇯🇵. By day I build apps; the rest of the time I run a couple of AI-news channels for people who actually ship code.
What I work on
- Apps: PostSupporter and Mapmediary — small iOS apps I design, build, and ship solo.
- AI news for builders: a daily English AI-news short channel (@danioff_en) plus a Japanese one. Three stories a day, filtered for developers — what changed in your tools, what it means, and what you can try today.
Why I'm here
I keep learning things the hard way — what AI tooling actually helps when you're a one-person team, what's hype, and what quietly breaks. dev.to feels like the right place to write that down instead of letting it disappear into a Notes app.
Topics I plan to write about:
- The reality of solo app development (the boring parts included)
- AI tools in a real workflow — what earned a place, what got cut
- Lessons from running a Japanese vs. English channel side by side
- The occasional "I automated this and here's the messy truth" post
